South Central Human Relations Center is committed to providing effective outpatient therapy services for people seeking guidance through periods of change and difficulty in their lives. These services can be effective for a variety of conditions, including:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Personality disorders

A clinician — therapist, counselor, psychiatrist, etc. — works closely with each person to develop an individualized treatment plan and set of goals. Clients and their clinician then collaborate to identify and use treatment approaches that help each client achieve these goals.

There are many things in a person’s life that may cause stress or a disruption in his or her routines. Without seeking help, a person’s situation may become worse. These situations may include:

  • Interpersonal relationship issues
  • Excessive worry or feeling on edge
  • A loss of a loved one
  • Divorce or separation
  • Financial difficulties or unemployment
  • Depression
  • Child or adolescent behavioral or discipline issues
  • Difficulties managing anger

South Central Human Relations Center offers a variety of counseling services for mental health and addiction issues to youth, adolescents, adults and families. Current therapy formats include counseling sessions for individuals, groups, couples and families. In addition to these services, specialized counseling is available in anger management for men, anger management for women and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for adults and adolescents.


At South Central Human Relations Center, our goal is to work in partnership with clients to address their mental health needs. Services include:

  • Psychiatric and psychological evaluations
  • Medication management
  • Education about medications

Our team of psychiatrists is trained to care for the needs of adults, adolescents, children and families. The psychiatry team includes psychiatrists, an advanced practice nurse, and clinical nurse specialists with extensive experience working with individuals who have a psychiatric illness. In addition to an excellent psychiatry team, we also have a convenient, in-house pharmacy just for our clients.
